If you like sitting cross-legged on the floor, it means that you are a care-free person. You are always open to new ideas, and you are often flexible with changes. You know how to balance your thoughts, and comfort always comes first for you. You are not too shy, and most likely, you have a radical and unorthodox mind.

SITTING CROSS LEGGED ON A SOFA OR CHAIR

Although this posture seems very bold, it indicates that you lack confidence. Sitting cross-legged is a sign that you do not like people peeking into your weaknesses. The posture indicates that you are judgemental. If you like sitting in this position, you will agree with us that leaning back on your palm helps you in analyzing a situation without taking action - it is like you are waiting for something to happen while taking it all in very tentatively since you pause half-way from leaning all the way back. Sorry if you felt offended, but this is true!

SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BENCH

Sitting down right in the middle of a bench, sofa, or table means you're extremely confident. According to Psychology Today, this is a subconscious way of telling others that you are approachable, cooperative, and value teamwork. SITTING CUDDLED WITH YOUR PARTNER IN A CORNER

This posture indicates that there is a closeness in the relationship, but it can also mean that there’s a difference of power in the partnership. However, the partner in the center might be displaying insecurity and their need for love and reassurance.

KEEPING LEGS ON YOUR PARTNER’S LAP WHILE SITTING

To some extent, the person with their legs over their partner is demanding attention and has the dominant role, probably both in the partnership and at that precise moment. Or maybe that person's legs were just tired, so they felt like relaxing them a little, and ended up in this position?

SITTING SIDE BY SIDE YOUR PARTNER, BUT NOT CUDDLING

This position indicates a happy and contented couple. They might not be in the first flush of love, but they are connected and trying to maintain contact with each other. Also, couples who sit in this position have faith in the partnership and have enough confidence that allows for a healthy amount of space. But what if you sit on the opposite side of your partner?

SITTING ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF YOUR PARTNER

This posture is simply a visual illustration of what is going on in the relationship - it usually means that the pair have become detached. Taking an opposite seat from the other may also indicate a difference in views on a particular topic. However, in the absence of conflict, if this is a regular sitting position, it suggests that the couple may have grown apart, particularly if they used to sit closer together. Well, if that is you, it is indeed sad. Maybe you can try talking to your partner and sort things out?
